Smaller Appliances That Will Really Up Your Kitchen Game

Whether you’re headed out in your RV for a week, a month, or even longer, it’s important to be able to enjoy the comforts of home. That’s why there are certain appliances for the kitchen that you really should consider bringing along on your travels that can really improve your RV experience.

Why you may ask, are we only focusing on kitchen items? Well, in our humble opinion, making sure the kitchen is fully stocked with the correct items – be it food or appliances – is key to making sure you have a bunch of happy campers throughout your travels. So, here are some of our must-haves:

Air Fryer – Not only is it first on our list alphabetically, but it’s also No. 1 in our hearts. An air fryer is not only small, but it’s versatile. It can be toast, air fry, roast, broil, slow cook, reheat, etc. It’s the jack-of-all-trades, so to speak, so make sure it’s part of your kitchen stockpile.

Blender – Want to fix the kids milkshakes? Need a smoothie to get your day started? If you answered yes, you’ll want to make sure you have a blender, which can also be used for soups, dressings, sauces, dips, batters, and lots more.

Coffee Maker – If you’re not a coffee drinker, you can strike this one from the list. If, however, you are like plenty of folks we know, you must have it every single morning to kick off your day. Having a coffee maker on board makes much more sense than having to track down a cup every day if it’s part of your routine. Plus, you can drink as much of it as you can make!

Compact Toaster Oven – If you haven’t taken the dive into air fryers, then you really need to have a toaster oven on the RV. You can bake in it, toast an English muffin, warm up leftovers, or broil a piece of fish. This one’s a no-brainer.

Instant Pot – Another relatively small item that packs a big bang. You can use it as a slow cooker, pressure cooker, steamer, warmer; you can sauté in it, cook rice, and lots more. It’s great when you’re going to be out for the day, and you can slow cook your dinner so that when you get back from that long hike, you’re ready to eat!

Microwave – OK, this one is almost a gimme. Most folks couldn’t imagine life without a microwave, and frankly, every RV needs one. It’s great for cooking up frozen dinners quickly, reheating last night’s dinner, fixing eggs and bacon, heating soup, and generally just making your life SO much easier.

Waffle Iron – Again, if you love your waffles – or if you’re traveling with kids who love waffles – find a small one and tuck it in the cupboard. And it’s not just about waffles – you can fix up some great sandwiches for lunch or dinner too!

There you go, the Crowder RV list of smaller appliances that we couldn’t live without when we’re traveling in our RV. If you don’t have all of them, you might want to consider adding at least one to your kitchen before your next trip.
